About this deal

Currents, their fourth album, continues this trend, toning down some of the psychedelic rock elements in favour of nods to blue-eyed soul, woozy dream-pop, cheery summery pop (see the radio hit in waiting "The Less I Know The Better"), and even the head-nodding rhythms of hip hop (which, incidentally, prove the perfect backing for the morphine pop wooziness of "Past Life"). There are some gems on this album: The Moment, Yes I'm Changing, Eventually, New Person, Same Old Mistakes (Rihanna covered this one).

and “God Smack” give Layne Staley a chance to explore a vocal arsenal that encompasses bluesy wails, unholy screams, and. The first track from the record to be unveiled, Let It Happen, is a perfectly encapsulating preview of what lies ahead. I was suitably impressed with their 2016 Glastonbury appearance - exciting performance, confetti, lights and a rainbow thrown in for good measure! The 13 track album, Currents was written, recorded, produced and mixed by Kevin Parker in Fremantle, West Australia. Tame Impala’s third album is titled Currents, and on it Parker addresses a blindingly colourful panorama of transition in the most audacious, adventurous fashion he’s yet to capture on record.

The album itself is amazing, with each track showcasing exceptional quality in terms of sound and musical artistry. I experienced the songs in an improved way, every single sound within each song is so crisp and clear. Australian combo Tama Impala has always been hard to pin down, with their two studio albums to date displaying a keen desire to capture a trippy, psychedelic vibe, whilst refusing to settle on one easy-to-categorize sound. I have some favorite songs like "The moment" and "Reality in motion", but the whole album sounds like experiment, which is great, I like experiments, but some unreleased songs I heard. Coming in just short of eight minutes, Let It Happen traverses a swag of sonic terrain in its duration.
