About this deal

Kae's sexuality isn't entirely discussed, but when she finds out that the five suitors like her, she takes them all seriously and shows interest in all of them. This is including Shima Nishina, who is not only a girl but was her first kiss. Kae and Mutsumi are married. He's a teacher, she makes manga and anime merch for a living. They have a son named Shion, after the character who started it all. Nishina**, the Lesbian, and yes! It's a girl! Who wants to date Serinuma!! She loves "beautiful things", she's also a doujinshi artist and becomes one of Serinuma's best friends. Unsurprisingly enough, she'd be one of the best options for her to end with :P

Kae's classmate from 2-A and a suitor. He makes his intentions clearer than any of the others. During the School Festival arc, he declares that he doesn't want to be "friendly" with the other boys anymore, and grabs her hand while they watch Hayato Shinomiya's play. He may also be the only one that has begun to love Serinuma the most deeply, as he was able to look past her regression into her larger physique during the Valentine's Day arc. Almost everyone else wanted to change her but he realized he loved her for who she is not what she looks like. Which is like true love right there. He is the only one who asked for her consent before (almost) kissing her. She kissed him when saving him from the pond on the Birthday arc. Episode 3, where Kae's class does a cosplay cafe, has several characters wearing the uniforms of the Survey Corps. Kae herself is seen in the uniform during an eyecatch holding on to a potato. This is in reference to Sasha who shares the same seiyuu. Serinuma**, the MC, who actually doesn't give 2 SHITS about her own appearance so that's REALLY COOL. She's a fujoshi, so all that she cares about (REALLY) is... two guys she dropped a whole lotta weight and is suddenly super attractive.. not the rep we were hoping for when it came to bigger women.. That said, I really liked up to the point before she chose who she actually liked of the five (she chose the one I shipped her with so victory to me). Nose Bleed: Kae gets one when she sees something erotic. Shinomiya got two, too, after he crashed on Kae's breasts. Mutsumi does get these as well, but only when he gets nervous or stressed. The mangaka took care to show that while initially their reasons were shallow (well 3/5 of them anyway), each of them fell in love with Kae for her character, and found her interesting as a person, and not just as a pretty face.. and also while not understanding her otaku/fujoshi hobbies, still tried their best to support her (even if it resulted in her imagining them in various BL situations) and accept her, though it can be argued in the beginning was them trying to win her favour... i☆Ris the Movie - Full Energy!! - Anime Film Teaser Visual Revealed at i☆Ris Live Stage in Anime NYC & i☆Ris First Performance in New York Successfully Completed

Dragged into Drag: Shinomiya is forced to act as the princess for his class' play on the cultural festival. undertones. The message that only skinny girls are attractive kind of pisses me off; it's not a very positive message for young girls, which shoujo often targets, other than that I have no problems. It's sort of like Fujoshi Rumi except more shoujo geared and less mature. Story: 6/10 - apart from the obvious twist on the story, the rest is pretty standard. There's a beach arc, a school festival, bla bla bla. Nothing all too new Japanese Comic Ranking, January 12–18". Anime News Network. January 21, 2015 . Retrieved January 22, 2015.

Watashi ga Motete Dousunda

Funimation Announces Fall English Dub Line-Up". Anime News Network. October 4, 2016 . Retrieved October 4, 2016. Aside from the sudden but rapid weight loss, surprisingly, Kae seems to have a good fashion sense, as she is often seen wearing cute and fashionable clothes whenever she is out. Though the clothes she'd wear could possibly have come from Amane Nakano (Kae's best friend). Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Nanashima is the only one to express his disgust towards Kae's otaku hobbies, and to consider Kae's efforts to do well on soccer to be futile. However, he ends up helping her and not minding her rambles. This is Junko's first non Yaoi series manga which is blatantly obvious. (If you're familiar with her style) I personally love her style even though... Some of her anatomical stuff are awkward at times. The series has good translation notes even if you don't know all the slang in this fandom. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pineda, Rafael Antonio (January 9, 2020). Mushroom Samba: When the group visits the small island where Sametora's severed head was buried, they all begin hallucinating ghosts chasing them. It turns out to be because the boxed lunches they ate before boarding the swan boats were cooked with poisonous mushrooms. Forgotten First Meeting: Kae with Nishina, who first met each other before Kae's weight loss at Nishina's debut as a doujin artist at Comiket. a b c d e f g "Junko's Watashi ga Motete Dousunda Manga Gets Drama CD". Anime News Network. September 8, 2014 . Retrieved January 22, 2015. As stated before, Kae is a fairly "easy" person. She doesn't seem to worry about the little things or tiny details and prefers to go with the flow. Whenever this part of Kae emerges, flowers tend to accompany her speech bubbles as a way to emphasize her being an air-head. The only time where Kae is extremely fired up is when anime/manga or yaoi is involved, such as her obsession over possible romances between her classmates, Nozomu Nanashima and Yūsuke Igarashi. In those moments, Kae takes on many of her pre-weight loss traits, such as small eyes, heavy sweating, and the occasional sly smile. Depending on her dedication and the situation relative to her "otaku-level", Kae can accomplish several extraordinary feats, such as helping the girls' soccer team win despite never having played soccer, and completing three cosplay ensembles from scratch for a school festival.

An audio drama adaptation of the first chapter was released in January 2015. [6] An anime adaptation by Brain's Base aired in Japan between October and December 2016. [2] [7] A live-action film adaptation was released in July 2020.

Idiosyncratic Ship Naming: ( In-Universe) The Nanashima/Igarashi ship is known as 7/5 (after the numbers in their names) to Kae and A-chan.In the Live-Action Adaptation, posters of Levi can be seen in Kae's room. She also has manga of Junko's Yaoi Genre works (such as Kimi Note and Abarenbo Kareshi) as well as Love Stage!!. The manga she lends to Igarashi is The Prince's Time, one of Junko's earlier works. The manga was hilarious, I haven’t laughed so much since FMA. The faithful portrait of an otaku, her obsession, her mind set, her priorities, everything – it was like a documentary. Amazing. The picture of the annoying couple each of us knows – unbelievably realistic. Characters development on spot. Also references to other mangas – purely great. Kae drawing a human transmutation circle under senpai's hospital bed will stay with me forever. Shinomiya and Nanashima get a lot of BL teasing across the series, but the biggest tease goes to the epilogue, where they arrive at Kae's wedding holding hands and live together. Even Nishina and A-chan think there's something going on between the two, though they're wearing their BL goggles. Muramatsu, Kentarou (July 7, 2020). "変身して分かったこと". Cinema Today (in Japanese) .
