About this deal

Each Pokémon will have one or two types assigned to it. Some Pokémon are fire monsters, some are electrical monsters, some are steel monsters, and so on. These types will help you know what kind of enemy Pokémon they're going to be strong against and which they're going to be weak against. Every Pokémon type has a few weaknesses and strengths; if you match your Pokémon against the enemy Pokémon properly, you'll often be able to defeat your foe in one hit!

There are a few different kinds of encounters you'll find yourself running into during your time in Pokémon, each with its own kinds of challenges. You can find two more hidden items here as well as two more Galactic Grunts. Take the stairs to 7F. After returning to Sendoff Spring in the regular world, Cynthia suggests that you visit Sandgem Town since Professor Rowan was worried about you. If you don’t have Fly with you, go south to Spring Path and you'll find yourself on Route 214 where there were previously only trees. From there, head to Veilstone City to get the Pokémon you need before Flying off to Sandgem Town. Bidoof - Route 201, Lake Verity, Route 202, Route 203, Route 204, Route 205, Eterna Forest, Route 208 and Route 211

Also on this route is the final Honey Tree you'll find in the game. The man at the end of the cliff will give you TM56 ( Fling). If you ever use Fling in battle, be aware that usually the user's held item will be lost forever upon use (some places where it's kept include the Battle Frontier and player-versus-player battles). Make sure to battle the Fishermen on the beach, as one of them has a Feebas, which is a hard to spot Pokémon that you will need to see to complete your Sinnoh Pokédex. Once you are done here, head through the gatehouse to reach Sunyshore City. Tentacool - Route 205, Valley Windworks, Pastoria City, Route 212, Route 213, Fuego Ironworks, Routes 219, Route 220, Route 221, Route 218, Canalave City, Iron Island, Route 222 and Sunyshore City Choosing the level and nature are optional. If you stop after step 3, the pokemon will be scaled to the level of the area you’re in, and will have a randomly chosen nature.

As you travel, you'll come across a number of machines that can be used to permanently train your Pokémon with new skills. These come in two forms: TMs, which are relatively common, and HMs, which are fairly rare. Pokemon Platinum is essentially an updated version of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. The core game is more or less the same, but there have been several changes and additions that make for a somewhat unique experience. So if you've played either Diamond or Pearl, this section will help get you up to speed on the biggest additions. The Setting Finneon - Route 205, Valley Windworks, Fuego Ironworks, Routes 219, Route 220, Route 221, Route 218, Canalave City and Iron Island Route 216 is the first area of the game to where you can catch your own Ice-type Pokémon. While Diamond and Pearl only had two you could find in the wild, Platinum has four in the regional Pokédex, though you won't find Swinub until the next route. Just remember like walking through the mud, you can't use your bike (and sometimes not your Running Shoes) in the snow. Also the areas where you walk will determine how fast you can move. Hail will be in effect in all snow areas and will damage all non-Ice type Pokémon, though Magic Guard, which Clefairy can use, is one of the few options to avoid weather damage. The lone cabin in this route will have a bed for you to rest so it can serve as a place to fully heal your Pokémon team.

What's New?

As with Diamond and Pearl, Rowan will introduce the game to you, as well as give you the option to choose your character, your name, and your rival's name. You'll be transported to Twinleaf Town, where your great Pokemon adventure begins. Once you are prepared, your next destination is to enter Mt. Coronet from the south entrance. You can either Fly to Oreburgh City and head north, or Hearthome City and head west, but the path from Oreburgh is faster. If you need to return to the Pokémon League at any time to heal your team, the good news is that you won't need Strength to navigate through Victory Road B1F again, as Surf alone will make it easy to come and go from Route 224.

The right-hand house in the northeastern corner of the city belongs to a woman named Julia. Visit her daily to obtain a Ribbon. The Ribbon you receive is dependent on which day of the week it is. She does not give out a ribbon on the first visit. Once you beat her you will receive the Forest Badge, TM86 ( Grass Knot), and the ability to use Cut outside of battle. Now, you may enter the Galactic Eterna Building. Her team is about the same as Saturn's team, but with the difference of Purugly instead of Toxicroak. Since your Fighting-type diversity has greatly improved since last time it shouldn't have been hard to have found a Fighting-type to use against her to defeat Purugly. Be careful since it is fast and can put you asleep with Hypnosis. After the battle, despite fretting about losing again, Mars is satisfied with having captured Mesprit. She also deduces that Saturn's operation of catching Azelf it made it easier to catch Mesprit due to it sensing that Azelf is in danger and made the cave appear to head out. Mars then leaves with the warning of the power they are about to possess. Magikarp - Twinleaf Town, Lake Verity, Route 202, Route 203, Oreburgh Gate, Route 204, Ravaged Path, Route 205, Valley Windworks, Eterna City, Mt. Coronet, Route 208, Route 209, Route 210, Route 214, Pastoria City, Great Marsh, Route 212, Route 213, Celestic Town, Fuego Ironworks, Routes 219, Route 220, Route 221, Route 218, Canalave City, Iron Island, Lake Acuity, Route 222, Sunyshore City, Route 223, Victory Road and Pokémon League After the demonstration on how to catch a Pokémon, Dawn/ Lucas will give you 5 Poké Balls to get you started. Go further along the route, it's pretty straightforward. You can use the ledges to escape the grass if you need to heal, and after fighting through 3 Trainers, keep going west to find a Potion in a patch of grass. After this, head north to reach Jubilife City.

This walkthrough will guide you from the beginning of your adventure to the end - the Pokémon League. There will be also bonus maps, such as the Battle Tower. This walkthrough does not include the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl's information (including Pokémon Appearances, Trainers), but this walkthrough have some use to this version. Professor Rowan will then give you the Poké Radar, which will allow you to find non-regional Pokémon in tall grass. For it to work, you need to be standing in tall grass without being mounted on your bicycle. After one use, it takes 50 steps to recharge. Trainers with a Vs. Seeker by their names, when alerted for a rematch using the item, may use higher-level Pokémon. This code allows you to set wild encounters to a specific pokemon of your choosing. You’ll need access to the poketch for this code, since we’ll be inputing some values through the calculator app. Seaking - Twinleaf Town, Lake Verity, Route 202, Route 203, Route 204, Route 208, Route 209, Route 214, Route 212, Celestic Town and Lake Acuity

There are two potential types of fossils that can be mined in the Underground, but only one type is available per game. It has to do with the last digit of your Trainer ID number (visible on your Trainer Card). If the last digit is odd then you'll be able to obtain the Skull Fossil ( Cranidos), but if it is even then you'll get the Armor Fossil ( Shieldon). Fossils can be revived into their respective Pokémon in the Oreburgh Mining Museum. The Fossils from Generation I and III can only be obtained after getting the National Pokédex. Twinleaf Town, Sandgem Town, Eterna City, Trophy Garden, Pal Park, Snowpoint Temple, Mt. Coronet, Celestic Town, Spear Pillar Here, you will both encounter Cyrus again, and Cynthia asks why he is so determined to create a new world. Cyrus refuses to listen. You can then cross the drawbridge near the stairs and get to the blue switch in the upper left hand corner. Hit that switch then the nearby green switch to get the drawbridge around the right wall ready so now you can go to the third room. When you enter, Mars demands to know what happened to Cyrus. Not believing your story about the Distortion World, she decides to face you.

Next, it is a good idea to head west to Route 218 to obtain the Old Rod from a Fisherman. That's the only thing you'll find there for now, until you can use Surf.
