About this deal

Before I do that & say anything about this book, Forever Never, let me preface the following by saying I still view Lucy Score as a very talented writer and I still have every intention of reading more of her books. Until proven otherwise, I have a feeling there’s a good possibility Forever Never is just an anomaly. Maybe I’m wrong, but it feels like she was trying something here & it just didn’t work…at least for me. I’m most certainly not trying to dissuade anyone from the rest of her books. My previous LS reads were some of the better reads I’ve had this year. She felt closer to him than any other human being on the planet. She wondered if their souls were touching. If they were becoming one.”

There is more to the story than just this major connection between two people. There is a woman who needs to escape from an abusive relationship, there are families and their pasts, and the dynamics of parents/husbands and wives. There is so much for every reader. So glad this is a series and not a once in a Blue Moon story. Lucy Score takes you on a return trip to Blue Moon in Not Part of the Plan. It feels like a trip home with the familiar characters, the laughter and most importantly the love. The great thing about this book is that it reminds us about all of the different kinds of love in the world, romantic love, friend love, family love and community love. Niko is an interesting character that takes a trip to Blue Moon to visit a friend and discovers a part of himself he didn't realize was missing. Get ready to fall for Niko and For Blue Moon to steal your heart again. - Just MeHad he bothered straightening to his full six feet four inches and looked up from the canned goods, he would have caught that telltale flash of red. The color of forest fires and the temptations of hell. hero and heroine are 8 years apart. they met for the first time when they were 16 and 24. the book is set 14 years later when they are 30 and 38. ugh and before anyone says anything no they didn’t anything until years, so shut up. I am not sure that I bought that the H felt he was just being used by the h for sex when he knew how long she’d loved him for. And she apologised for making him think it was all just for sex and vowed to work harder. This is after he’d pushed her away for years and had gotten married and divorced to her best friend. He had his reasons but that still made me go wtf to his conclusion that h was in it just for the sex. You wanted to know why I married Audrey? You should be asking why we divorced. Because of you. Your name is the last word I breathe every night. Your face is the one I see when I close my eyes. I couldn’t hide that from her.”

So if you’re into friends/enemies to lovers with some suspense and humor then Forever Never is the book for you. His reason? Because he was convinced she was just like his mother, and didn't want the small town life. Now, mind you, he never actually ASKED her what she wanted. He decided FOR her what her life should look like, and brutally, and repeatedly, rejected her for it. He repeatedly chose his own emotional safety over hers, for years. THEN they finally get together, and he dumps her... rejecting her... AGAIN.... because he still won't ask her what she wants with her life. He just assumes she is like his mother. Now, keep this under your hats because rumor has it her family doesn’t know yet,” she said, leaning in and dropping her voice to a whisper.

I loved your book things we never got over. I laughed til I peed my pants!! I hate to tell you this but its the best book I’ve read in 30 years and I’m 78. Please keep writing. Don’t stop!!!! Lucy Score took this concept and gave us the ultimate look at how this feeling can tie up a man for years...how he had a love and need for a woman but always stopped himself from acting on his intense feelings. On the flip side, the woman causing all of this need and conflict always had feelings for this man but every time something might have finally happened between them...Walls were erected and hurt was inflicted. Why is the elephant in the room only dealt with at the end of the book and with absolutely no fanfare - I waited the whole book through for the verbal showdown between the h and ow, but no….that encounter was flatter than a pancake. A total anticlimax. 20 minutes into the sweet chat and they’re besties again.
