About this deal

The backlighting for 38-inch displays comes either in the form of cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs) or light-emitting diodes (LED). The HDR isn't great as other monitors on the market but if you're looking at using it for gaming / especially FPS games, its well worth the trade off. I tried a 34 curved and the curved was amazing for video games/movies, but horrible for spreadsheets, documents, etc. If you would prefer to make your own decision, here is the list of all of our ultrawide monitor reviews.

Credit is provided by Novuna Personal Finance, a trading style of Mitsubishi HC Capital (UK) PLC, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. A refresh of an already premium gaming monitor, this display delivers deep blacks, incredibly accurate colors, and a slew of customization options. It has a few extra office features, like two USB-A ports, so you can connect your peripherals directly to the monitor, like a webcam or keyboard. Featuring innovative display tools like NVIDIA G-SYNC, HDR 400 and covering 98% of DCI-P3 colour space an international film industry standard ensures you get perfect image reproduction with no screen-tearing and awe-inspiring precision. Instead of needing two monitors to display my workspace, I can have all of my windows on the same panel at the same time without having to switch between multiple virtual desktops or split my view between two displays.A 38-inch display can be the perfect gaming monitor thanks to its high resolution, fast refresh rates, and low input lag. With a WQHD+ resolution of 3840 x 1600, it is four times clearer than basic HD, and covers 99 percent of the sRGB color spectrum, offering stunning picture quality. Smooth deployment: Manage your fleet of monitors with features that are automatic, comprehensive and compatible with several tools. Curved monitors help create more immersion since you won’t have to turn your head as much to see the whole screen.

The fact this is an ultrawide panel lends itself to offering you a more immersive gaming experience, and support for DisplayHDR600 (and therefore a quoted 600 nits of brightness) can go a long way to helping that. It's a super ultrawide monitor with a 49-inch screen and a 32:9 aspect ratio, equivalent to placing two 27-inch monitors side-by-side. You should also come to expect these larger displays to offer plenty of adjustability, especially when it comes to height adjustment and viewing angle.LG Electronics UK designs products that are intuitive, responsive and more eco-friendly, so you can spend wisely, be more productive and reduce the impact on the world around you. The Dell panel only runs at 60Hz, and has decent colours, but scrolling text produces clear ghosting on grey areas no matter the setting. Clearer, Faster, SmootherNVIDIA G-SYNC recognises and synchronises your refresh rates to the GPU inside GeForce RTX and GTX-powered PCs, reducing screen tearing and minimsing stutter and input lag ensuring you always play to the best of your ability never missing a frame of the action as your climb the leaderboards of your chosen game. Its 38-inch screen is curved to provide an immersive gaming experience, and with a refresh rate as high as 175Hz, screen tearing isn’t a problem one should expect with this monitor.

These panel technologies can be grouped into three broad categories which cover the vast majority of monitors sold in the consumer market. Additionally, for larger monitors, you will need to choose a higher resolution option to avoid a less sharp image as the number of pixels per inch (PPI) will be lower. Our prior setup was a pair of 17"' or 18" with a VGA plug to display port adapter- which didn't look sharp or good. It's huge, it's gorgeous, it's got good colours, no ghosting/artefacts on "sensible" speed modes, and I love it. It has a VA panel that performs well in dark rooms as it displays deep blacks, and it also gets bright enough to fight glare if you want to use it in a bright room. As you read through the questions, take note of your answers and refer back to them as you start to look at specific monitors.
